The State of Hawaii became a member of the US federal union of states in August 21, 1959 making it the 50th state. It is compose of hundreds of islands across its territory of 1,500 miles with noted eight major islands namely Hawaii which is the biggest island, Nihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, and Maui. Maui Island is the 17th largest island of the United States and the 3rd largest island in the State of Hawaii. It is located in the Northwestern part of Hawaii with Kahului as the biggest town in the island. Being a tropical island, it is perfect for summer vacations making tourism as its major industry followed by agriculture. Naturally the island especially its coasts are peppered with resorts that offer different amenities and attractions.
